WAY Systems Appoints Jon Schau Senior Vice President of Engineering

BOSTON, MA; DECEMBER 3, 2008: Fred Gumbel, CEO of WAY Systems Inc. announced today that Jon Schau has been appointed Senior Vice President of Engineering at WAY Systems. Mr. Schau previously held the position of Vice President of Engineering.

Mr. Schau has overseen all aspects of WAY Systems Engineering, launching the WAY MTT 1531 and 1581 and the company’s first multi application device, the way5000, and associated control center. Mr. Schau has navigated WAY’s transition from early stage start up to professionally managed organization. He has established an engineering platform that WAY can build upon.

“The engineering challenges at WAY have always been about making next generation technology fit within our mobile form factor. Our latest charge in engineering was to develop a fully integrated multi application terminal that fits in your pocket,” said Schau “Delivering a premium product to go along with the MTT required that it deliver premium results and I feel that we have delivered a product that is the next generation in mobile point of sale. Prior to joining Way Systems, Mr. Schau has held Vice President of Engineering positions at Polycom and PictureTel, and had a record of delivering technology products on time and within budget. Prior to PictureTel, Mr. Schau held a number of development and management positions at CNR, an RF communications startup, and at GTE Strategic Systems, a supplier of command and control systems.
